ZWILLING^® Cronidur

Besides the perfection and professionalism that ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS is so well known for, ZWILLING Cronidur offers a clear, reduced and technical design. The blade is made of the heavy-duty nitrogen-enriched high-performance steel Cronidur 30. The nitrogen provides the blade's extreme hardness and corrosion resistance. This steel was developed for the aeronautics and aerospace industries which call for an extreme degree of corrosion resistance and strength. For ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS this material was further refined to produce the exceptional steel for its knives. The all-new blade geometry ensures perfect cutting results. The handle made of black micarta (a laminated linen-phenolic resin material) is intended as a deliberate contrast to the steel blade. The SIGMAFORGE blade is precision forged from a single piece of Cronidur 30 steel. The knife obtains its form on the basis of the precisely coordinated use of temperature and force. Here the innovative and particularly ergonomic bolster shape is forged in a manner that only ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS is able to produce. The blade is further refined with a special ice curing process that provides an extreme degree of hardness making the blade exceptionally sharp, flexible and corrosion-resistant.
